AB - This paper focuses on the variational approach to a time-space fractional  coupled Boiti-Leon-Pempinelli equation. The fractional system can be  transformed into the original coupled Boiti-Leon-Pempinelli equation by  using the fractional complex transformation. The variational approach  provides three new types of soliton solutions.
