Influence of defect parameters on detection efficiency is explored. Four algorithms, namely, PCA, PPT, THD, and TW-PCA, have been used to process infrared image sequences. The obtained results show that all algorithms suppress background noise to a certain degree, but the TW-PCA technique has proven to be more effective providing the higher both signal-to-noise ratio and information entropy.
