A synergetic combination of two passive heat transfer enhancement techniques would be favourable to prevent overheating. The concurrent implementation of Al2O3 nanofluid and staggered water-droplet groove geometries in micro-channel heat sink application was investigated using numerical approach. Numerical results reported in this study revealed that the heat dissipation capability of the micro-channel heat sink can be improved when Al2O3 nanofluid is used in conjunction with the water-droplet grooves arranged in staggered manner. The predictive accuracy of the numerical method has been validated with published results available.
